Question by : What kind of science fair project can I make using dry ice?
I need to come up with a science fair project, and I saw on youtube someone putting dry ice in water then putting soap on the edge of the bowl, and this caused the ice to form a bubble. Can this be used as a science fair project, like testing different substances around the edges? If not, can anybody help me come up with a good science fair project for an 8th grader in advanced classes?

I used to looove this projects. I wish I could remember them and tell you, but it's been sooo long! Mmm thinking, thinking....mmm.....not sure ice is a good idea..if your project could be put on exivition, the ice would melt, wouldn't work for showing your project, unless it's a different kind of project that you can record on a video and show that or show one time in class only, then ice can work. If you go on youtube you can find many science experiments easy to do at home and you can get ideas there. I'm tping from cell otherwise I would have check for you some ideas....thinking, thinking....mmm....i remember I did one growing flowers with different water color and the same white flowers grew to be with different color petals according to the color of the water, they were called "flor vicaria" they grow anywhere in warm weather. Oh I was looking last nigt at a video about magnetic levitation...search youtube. Maybe you an ask your teacher and get the ingridients and do a hell of a show with that. Good luck.

I'm amazed how cruel people can be in this world. I will hope the best to you Jennifer Hudson and her family as they have to go through another heartbreak as her nephew passed away.

Note: I'm not being any more sympathetic than if this happened to someone who wasn't a celebrity. I've just seen Jennifer Hudson on television a lot and it's sad to see that the beautiful smile will be faded.

I'm making a video for my brother in law and his fiance and I used the flip video camera. But when I went to upload them in Adobe Premiere it wouldn't let me because all the videos are mp4s. Does anyone know any way to convert them or anything I can do to be able to use the videos in Premiere? Thanks!

Silver trucks are fairly nice trucks, i've had them once and they lasted a long time I never broke them I sold them used and that guy used them for a while too, they're a light truck compared to what i'm use too but not the lightest. For a cheaper truck they are very nice, as for the fkd bearings I wouldn't know, I only use bones brands why switch if what I use never fails me ever.

Some people who take St John's Wort become more sensitive to sunlight. I don't think it means you have to try and avoid it totally though! Just that you shouldn't sit out in the sun for long periods of time - something people shouldn't do anyway!

in the main menu, go in the advanced creature creator, on the bottom left, there will be a button with 9 squares on it; click it and you will arrive in the sporepedia, select any creature in your sporepedia you want to edit. If they aren't already in your sporepedia, do "search online", and when you see a creature you like, do "download creation", and it will go in your sporepedia

For a 6 night back country hiking trip, in Killarney ON, with 3-4 guys, is it more efficient to take a food barrel with harness or for everyone to put their food in an airtight stuff sack and carry it themselves. Obviously both containers would have to be hung at night to avoid bears and other animals.

What i do when i go camping is try to do as little cooking as possible. I usually take dried food and no meat ( because i'm vegetarian) but also meat is a hassle to clean and cook and keep fresh. If you guys really want some good supper then take canned soup and warm it up over the fire even though its heavy or on your stove. Back to the actual question though taking perishable foods into the back country doesn't really work for long trips. Try to stick with dehydrated or freeze dried foods. The best way i think is split up the food evenly among all the guys and then at night put it in a bear bag and string it up in a tree (look it up online to see the easiest way to tie one up). I don't really know how bad the bears are where you plan on going but some other thing can give off scents bears like such as chap stick,sunscreen and even batteries can cause problems. Just stick to dry foods and things that all you need to do is add water to cook and you should do alright.
